Re: Radar Hardwire

I would just run it down the A pillar to the interior junction block then use one of these:

Re: Radar Hardwire

Without having looked at the dome lamp, there is not a key on power, its constant power... thats why you can turn them on without the key on... if you have a sunroof then you may be in luck for key on power but again I haven't looked at the diagrams but I REALLY dont like tapping into a module power source, your asking for trouble.

btw how is it not clean, its behind the A pillar?

Re: Radar Hardwire

Last time I had a radar detector and got stopped the policeman, he ask me to start my car and then his partner sent a signal to see if my car would beep. I wasn't able to turn it off without being seen, he was looking at me. 300$ fine and a radar detector. I wasn't even speeding.
There are two solution install with a hidden switch preferably close to 4 wheeldrive low switch so that you can turn it off without being noticed. It means doing some serious rewiring. OR don't speed.
