I am having a problem with my unlock button when i hit the unlock it does not open the rear lift gate unless i keep pushing it like 20 times and it might unlock once.

Re: Rear Lift Gate Not Opening

Also the whole lift gate or just the rear glass part?

Could be the key fob battery. Also could be the rear gates struts

It is not the glass part it is the handle. The key fob and unlock inside of vehicle are doing the same thing

Re: Rear Lift Gate Not Opening

I have a 2005 Jeep And the Very back door will not open, but the glass does open. I do not see any way to open the back door. This is our 4th jeep and they should have some way to open the back, no key entre what so ever. I have seen alot of other people are having the same issues and please add me to a class action law suit. They should fix this insted of trying to over charge there customer, even if you are a long time customer. Any help in this matter will be great Moveyourloads@yahoo.com. Thanks, Steve Loudenback
