Rer nav radio power cycling issue

My RER radio is having the following issue. The radio starts to power on and off about 5 minutes after its running. The screen starts to distort and sound cuts off. Could this be a problem with the radio or amp? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Rer nav radio power cycling issue

I have an RER as well. I have seen my power cycle at around the two hour mark of constant running. It will just go black and 10 minutes later power back on. From the feel of the front it is hot to the touch, not sure if it is an overheating issue. It also does not do this all the time. Seems like when I have the heat on higher (going skiing in the morning) is when it does occur. My return trip home it has not occurred.

There are software updates you can do that are detailed on threads in this forum. You can also replace your hard drive.

good luck
