rubbing noise while turning
My jeep, 99k miles/3.0L crd/stock suspension, is making a rubbing noise causing vibration through the steering wheel when I turn more than about 30* right or left. The shop I usually go to said it was improper tire inflation and that it was ok, but it wasn't. The next shop suggested I need a new front differential, per their internet searches. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with these suggestions and I would prefer to avoid the dealer unless it's a must that I bring it in.
Any of you guys or girls have input or ideas? Something is definitely wrong but I think if it was something as serious as a diff that it would be more noticeable in any driving scenario. Please help, I'm happy to provide additional info if anyone needs it to help me narrow down the possibilities!
