sat issue

i decided to get the sirius activated because my rer was losing reception to easy,so i did and nothing,they sent the activation 3 times,all i got was the main screen,no sound or anything,i could not go to ch. 185 like they wanted or sirius main screen ch. 1,i tried to do the voice activation to get to ch.185 and it worked but still no sound,so i cancelled it till i get this issue fixed,sirius said i should at least hear the info channel

Re: sat issue

i believe the sirius tuner pack is in the passenger side rear trunk panel, try unplugging and reseting it. Also could try pulling your battery for a bit, tie the + and - terminals together and let it sit for a while to reset all the computers.

For the rer the tuner is in the radio itself. I think only the rec had the external tuner.

so jml your saying disconnect the terminals and tie them together for a few and that resets the computers,is that safe and and will i lose any settings?

You will lose all your settings. You are basically takeing 100% of the power our of your vehicle. You will lose radio presets, memory seat presets and you may have to recalibrate your auto windows. Think of it as starting fresh.

It is completely safe, done it 100s of times at work to clear various stuff.

Or you can just remove the radio for a few min, or the radio fuse
