Seat Belt Reminder Light and Chime Issue

I ALWAYS use my seatbelt but their is a slight problem because the latch must be defective and the light nor the chime turn off which becomes extremley annoying. I have tried the chime disabling method in the manuel but the reminder light never turns off. I am just curious what cable I should disconnect underneath the seat to disable the seatbelt plug.

The light won't go off only the chime can be disabled. As far as what to disconnect ....????? No idea I'd replace the latch.

Think Outside !- No Box Required.

Re: Seat Belt Reminder Light and Chime Issue

a VERY common shorting point is right where the harness wraps around the seat joint and goes up to the belt reciever. I have repaired numerous shorts there for random seatbelt chimes/light and airbag light concerns. Typically I pull the seat out and pull the cover off theside of the seat but a simple check that can help is just grab what you can of the harness and move it around. if its a short, typically its not some harsh event that shorted it its a longterm rubbing against a sharp edge that slowly wears through the coating. So moving the harness around wont fix the damage to the wire but it may relocate the damage away from the sharp edge where the damage is happening.
