Having an issue. Trying to figure out which code is tripping the message on the EVIC.
B2185
B1630
U0200
U0199
U0156
C107C
I know B1630, U0200, U0199 is my doing .
For C107C, I replaced my brake switch (Stuck 1/2). That possibly couldn't have fixed it.
What are codes B2185, U0156 (Both in the FCM). I think B2185 could be ignition related. I tried searching for U0156, no luck there.
Truck runs fine, Service 4WD pops up here and there. When the light is on, cruise control works still (Checking Brake Switch). More than likely a dirty connection somewhere or a chaffing wire. Anybody have any diagrams?
I cleared the codes after I wrote them down. Its quite possible that I wrote down the wrong DTC. If the 4wd light comes back on I'll re-write the codes down. Do you have a TSB for that 4wd issue?? I'm the second owner of the car so I'm not sure if the flash has been done. Just for the fact sometimes when I try to go into 4low (last winter) the light would come on too (right when pulling the switch up), disallowing me to get into 4low. I tried a few weeks ago and I could get into 4low no problem. If its the encoder motor or switch in the motor I could do that. (I don't know what chryslers termin. is) I do have full AUL powertrain warranty for 100k / 2years too. So I could work on it myself at the dealer..
If I take it to the dealer can they check the cal number on starscan?
Alright, just an update. Did some reading over on jeep forums. Contacted a dealer over at Novi and they've heard of the issue before. I have the recall done, but didn't think it was causing my 4wd issue. Appointment scheduled for monday morning.
Oh an the U0156 is my doing too haha. I did a full LED conversion in the car. I blew a fuse during install.
Hey, I'm having a very similar problem, but my light pops on pretty often, i happens almost every time I drive. Every time I pull the codes all I get is the 'invalid SKIS key' DTC, which i think is because of the viper remote start I had installed. I did get stuck in a pretty good mud hole a while back, but it didn't start giving me EVIC messages until much later, after I had changed spark plugs and lightbulbs. not sure if any of this is relevant, but more info can't hurt. Anyway, I'd love to hear what you've found, and any suggestions. I'm hoping its just a speed sensor.
I had a DTC.. T-Case sensor erratic. My scanner didn't pick it up (hypertech). 110$ later all the guy did was clean the tcase motor connector and adjusted terminals. Its funny, my scanner picks up abs, pcm and body codes, but no 4wd related. So being a tech myself, I got hosed by my own kind haha.
I should of just got a scan at the local jeep dealer lol or did a key bump. No biggie. 4wd low has been working since I've picked it up. If it acts up again I'm putting a tcase motor in it. The sensor is internal and I can't just find that. Its a complete unit.
If you got the now infamous N23 recall done on your Jeeper you have a few limited options as to what to do.... All but one so far only works for a period of time before you get the Service Transfer Case System again....
Only thing that is known to put your jeep back the way it was before FCA gave us their messed up recall is to put in a used FDCM that was NOT flashed with the N23 recall.
The module is located under the rear seat directly behind the driver's side. Takes 2 bolts to remove the seat enough the unplug and replace the module.
I debated a long time before going this route but when my dealer told me NOT to put it in 4 lo when I was on vacation a few weeks ago I bit the bullet and put a non flashed unit in mine.
In about 5 weeks I can sell you a non-flashed FDCM out of my 2008 CRD WK - when I get my 2014 WK2. I've got a 129AL module from a wrecked 2009 that works 100%(never had the recall done to it). I'm putting my flashed/failed 129AM module back in before I trade it in, and let FCA fix it for the dealer on their time.
