service electric brake system

My 05 grand cherokee has been sitting in my drive way for the last 4 months while I was away. I cane back to days ago and tried to start my jeep, the battery was dead. This is very strange because I have two batteries pushing about 2400 amps. I then jumped the car let it idle for 45 mins and then shut it off. That night the message 'service electric brake system and check gauges as well as the abs and traction control light lit up. I figured it was the battery after reading some posts. ' The next morning it barely started so I figured it could be something wrong with the battery so I used a tester and found out that the optima was not charging. Went to sams club and it got warrantied out for a duracell. I put the battery in cleared all the codes and it ran fine for 20 minutes until I started to accelerate and the front end made a pulsing sound from the abs and all the lights came on again.

Any ideas?

I vote for either the alternator or primary battery (depending on how you have the two batteries wired).

Well the two batteries are fine got a new main battery from sams club under warranty and have the second battery disconnected for now. Reset the computer.

Will report back with the codes. For some reason the codes are not visible on my obd code reader but the hypertech can detect a few codes.

Depending on your OBDII reader, it may not read PENDING codes. My ScanGaugeII picks up both and is often more useful than my Actron OBDII reader from a few years back.

im going with one of your wheel speed sensor only because i just had the same problem with on of mine i would be driving and the abs would kick in while braking the the abs traction control and service electric brake lights will all come on. On my truck it just so happen to be my front right side

when I first read through this my guess was a speed sensor, when a spseed sensor drops to 0 it will actuate the abs to stop the wheel from "slipping" your "vibration" you felt... mine did the same thing when a wheel speed sensor failed.

not sure on the other codes though.

The weird thing was the car was fine when I left it. Sat for 3 months then all of these codes happened at once basically. I hope these codes are from the speed sensor. Thanks for answering.

thats just it i didnt get a code for the wss it came up something else cant remember the code but i knew it was because i would hit a bump on that side and right away all lights would come on. and when i check the wires to the sensor were being pulled tight in on spot so i fixed the problem and re ran the wires loose and going on a month now and still no problems:)
