Shifter Belt/Slider/Dust Cover - where to find?

Bought a used Jeep where the shifter dust cover had already broken and was long gone... cant seem to find a replacement? Any ideas?

Re: Shifter Belt/Slider/Dust Cover - where to find?

I have the exact same issue. I haven't been able to find anything but the entire assembly.

Re: Shifter Belt/Slider/Dust Cover - where to find?

I tried but it only lasted a few days. Without the cover holding the plastic slider in place it caused my shifter to bind up so i had to remove all the pieces.

I'd be interested in purchasing one of those dust covers if they are still available. I've been searching for months and the dealership tells me it's not sold individually.

Re: Shifter Belt/Slider/Dust Cover - where to find?

let me see shipping options, they are longer than a regular envlope and you cannot fold em (obviously), so let me find a shipping container before I go locking in sales.

2005 JGC,

Did you sell both dust covers yet? If not I'm interested.

Thanks,

I know this may be counter productive of the sale - but can you post the demensions of this (L x W)? It looks as tho there are a lot of folks missing this piece and could be easily fixable with a piece of leather, or plastic, or something plyable...

its about 12 7/8"x 2" ultimately it would be very difficult to duplicate in any way that justified the time to take the shifter out to install it its not just a single piece cover, it has a second piece built into it that is around the shift lever that allows left and right movement. Good luck!
