I am a new jeep owner and when the truck is in reverse when cold the truck feels like its jumping... like the diff has not locked in yet. This only happens when the truck is cold its around 0-10mph its like a shuddering then goes away..Could someone please help me!!!!!!!

I just started noticing the same thing...first thing in the am, when cranking the wheels in reverse...shuddddder!

The fluids should be fine...replaced then not long ago. What's the consensus, speed sensor? Where are they located? Could it be possible that road salt has contaminated them...it just started happening after we had some snow.

I had a similar problem, ABS & Traction control warning lights coming on, hard to turn, low MPG. Changing the speed sensor sorted it.
Seems the traction control "senses" a skid & brakes the faster wheel.
