Do you hear any funny noises in the engine?
You may have to wait N time to post pics, but it sounds like something is getting between the piston top and the plug even if only intermittently.

You might want to get one of those light guide tools and shove it into the engine thru the plug hole and look for anything at all setting on the top of the piston--or worse, imbedded in the head by now. Sometimes foreign items can be removed thru the plug hole without the cost of pulling the heads.

Not rare if an older plug disintegrates, someone drops an adapter when changing plugs, or is sloppy around the throttle body intake.

So it took me forever to get into this thing.. But apparently the valve seal broke and fell out of the head. Smashed the plugs, Destroyed the head and the piston. I could even see the first ring. Looks like I lucked out because the cylinder walls look completely untouched... Anyone run into this?? This is costing a hunk if change.. It has 130,000 on it.

What year is yours? It seems to happen on the 05's and some early 06's with some frequency. The valve seat separates from the head. I haven't heard of any later model ones doing this though. You're lucky that it didn't damage the cylinder wall too. Was it ever overheated?

I have heard of aluminum heads losing valve seats... but usually in race engines that see a lot more horsepower & things like nitrous (higher cylinder temps & pressures)

Only thing I've experienced personally was a keeper letting go @ 7000 RPM and sucking a valve into the cylinder. Not pretty.

Yep it is a 05 wk. hasn't been overheated from what I know of.. Just got all the parts I need the other day so hopefully she'll be up and running soon.. This is actually the first thing major that's gone wrong with the car. So I don't think I can really complain to much. 1500 in parts and a lot of time.
