Re: Sounding like boxspring matress front driver side.

I have kind of the same noise, especially when I go about 20mph over mild speed bumps. When I come back down over the bump there is like a spring/squeeky noise, hoping to find out what it is

Re: Sounding like boxspring matress front driver side.

Mine does the same thing. It's even louder since I replaced the upper and lower coil spring isolators when I lowered it. I just assumed it is the newness of the rubber against the metal. Kinda embarrassing!

This sound only happens when I go over speed bumps. Literally doesn't happen any other time so. I'm not that worries about it right now

Re: Sounding like boxspring matress front driver side.

Most likely going to be your upper control arm bushings. It's very common on these. Small chance it could be the sway bar mount bushings, and those will only take you minutes to remove and grease. But most likely UCA bushings.

So if it is the UCA bushing what are we talking for repair costs?

Re: Sounding like boxspring matress front driver side.

This is a very annoying noise, I know what you people are talking about.

I went down a path to find a cure for this last year and I think I've found some answers on how to repair this problem. If you think the noise is coming from within your jeep and not underneath it, than check out this thread and please let me know what happens if you attempt it: WK dash/bulkhead rattles solved

Otherwise check out this thread: http://www.jeepgarage.org/f185/squea...sion-9136.html

I get this annoying noise when going over bumps and usually louder in dry hot days in the summer and even now..

I really don't think it has anything to do with control arm bushings... I feel like it's a noise from something being loose coming from within the dashboard or the front sway bar bushings.
