Lightbulb Speed sensor internal transmission failure-

My granddaughter has a 2008 Jeep GrandCherokee Larado- Failure code says speed sensor failure. They are inside the transmission. Question is -Has anyone installed these and what is the instalation and adding fluid insaleed. HELP---

Welcome to the garage. Which engine/transmission does the jeep have? Do you know the actual fault code?
Since you say its internal, it probably has the 3.7 engine with the NAG 1 transmission. No experience on that transmission, but i heard that the speedsensor is part of an assy, which will be changed as one. I expect some other member with experience on this will chime in. Are you going to do the job yourself?

Re: Speed sensor internal transmission failure-

Attached you can see the manual pages regarding removal/disassembly/assembly/installation of the electrohydraulic module. Both speed sensors are part of item 12 on page 2. You will have to remove the electrohydraulic module and disassemble it, to change item #12.
