Re: Strange issue

Mine did this to me about 2 months ago. Driving on the interstate and all electrical power was lost - headlights, interior lights, speedo needle, everything. It kicked back on after about .5-1 second and did this off and on for about 10 minutes. It freaked me out since I didnít know what all was losing power at the time so I drove super tense for a while and the flashing ended up stopping. After doing some looking, I think it has to do with the stem on the left side of the steering wheel. As it starts to go bad or connections get weak, this is the result. I donít think itís a difficult swap if it continues to do this, but I think the part can be a little expensive. Has it continued to so this or was it a one-time thing? Mine just did it the one day so Iím keeping this info in my back pocket should it start acting up again.

Re: Strange issue

It's the multifunction stalk on the left or the ignition switch on the right. Seems more likely to be the multifunction switch (that's what fixed mine). Mine happened only occasionally at first, but then became more frequent. A temporary fix seemed to be to turn off the Auto lights which fixed it. I eventually just replaced the stalk through J4J and it cost maybe $110 and was a 10 minute procedure. Easy peasy and fixed it for good.

Re: Strange issue

Had the same issue. Replacing ignition switch seems to have fixed ut for me. $25 and about 30 minutes mostly spent threading the assembly in and out of the dash.
