Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Wow, I read this whole thread hoping when I got to the end you would have found the solution. Ugh. Mine is doing the exact same thing 2005 with 108K miles. It has been pulsing for about the past year. Have taken it to independent mechanics and the dealer but neither have found anything.

If you have or ever do find a solution, please post. (I'll do the same)

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

I wish i had found a solution buddy. Im tired of it, i love my jeep and i literally have changed every sensor. The dealer noticed the problem and kept it for 2 weeks and then they plugged in the chrysler computer and sent all the driving figures to jeep which responded that every sensor is working as normal. Its very frustrating! Thanks will dco the same!

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

No, never replaced that. If i can remember right my tranny was flushed, new fluid, filter and solenoid. Would a tranny cause the jeep to idle lower then it should?

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

I have the same problem with my 07 5.7 hemi. All began when I install a cold air intake, but when I converted back to the original gear it still surged. so I put the mopar kit back on and just put up with the dam problem.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

I had a issue with my 06 4.7 shuttering under load. Did it around 40-50 when we got into the mountains in NC. We took it to lake Norman jeep. They told me there was 3 tsb updates that were never done by the dealership I bought it (used) from. When I left the dealership and got on it, we were off like a prom dress. I couldn't believe the difference. All it did was change the shift points and lockup but what a difference. I have noticed if the conditions are perfect for it (angle of hill, amount of load, south east winds) i can feel a little something but nowhere near what it was. Now I also have a surge under light acceleration. Also seem to feel it throughout various driving speeds here and there. I have previously changed plugs to Bosch platinum 4, new tps, and clean oil out of my map every (2,000 miles). So I'm wondering if we're in a similar shaped boat. I'm wondering if the iac is not operating properly, I know at idle it doesn't idle perfectly smooth, will iac affect anything over idle? Hmmm things that keep me awake at night.
