Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

I've had the same issue for 5 years now. I have learned to drive accordingly to the torque converter locking up with either easing off the gas pedal or applying more pressure depending on the situation.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

A good muffler shop can check them. I'd start with O2's though. Pulsing could be slow crosscounts. Is performance, and especially economy deteriorated? If you have a way of monitoring O2's (like a DashHawk), you can check these yourself. If you haven't already, you may want to review the thread I did on the O2's: Oxygen Sensors and Their Role in Engine Management--A Primer

Just some thoughts!

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Yea but it sucks during highway speeds when its pulsing the whole time! And vibrating. There has got to be a fix. Could be o2 sensor. That's one of the few sensors I haven't changed!! Lol

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Ok so basically mechanic doesent know what it could be, but he said a common problem with wk pulsing is the o2 sensor. So I decided to change these myself, not a cheap repair 200 for the set and a good 5+ hours of labor for me with no lift lol. Unfortunatley the problemn still remains, I am getting so frustrated and can't figure out what else it could be. Tired of wasting money.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

No, im at a loss and everything now is just a complete guess...injectors?

What all did your mechanic rule out?

I did just order a bored TB from Flyin Ryan maybe that will help!

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Damn you! I was just about to order one! I was leaning towards an injector cleaning maybe that will help.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Haha, I know he is looking for more people to purchase before he orders so make sure you get one! Most say it is a great performance mod for our girly motors!
