Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Tested primary and secondary resistance on all coils. One was a little high and swapped that one with a spare I had. All coils are good.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Lockup issues are usually TPS related. I wonder if the OPs heavy wheels/tires may be amplifying the problem as they add more strain, forcing converter unlock.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Is it the same or worse in that case?

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

It's about the same. Usually happens under strain, like a full carload of people or driving on beach. Think it's been better recently, Have to test it more.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

Tech again said transfer case is locking up and needs to figure out why. He said most common fix is the Tps. I also notice when he car runs like sh*t the idle is around 500 rpms and pulss a little while idling. Then if I try to move fast thee is a second or two delay from when I press the pedal to when the car actually moves. Also noticed today at around 40 mph if I let go of the gas pedal a second later I can feel something locking up and slowing me down but it doesn't feel like the trans. Any ideas guys? Tech also made me put in oem plugs and mopar combustion cleaner.

Re: Surging, pulsing while driving

My car was at the dealer all week. They did all sorts of tests said hey put 10 man hours into it tring to figure out what it was. They even sent the results to Chrysler and they said everything is functioning as normal. They couldn't figure it out so they called it quits and said just wait until the part actually breaks,
