TPS/MAP WOT at 66% 05 WK GC...

Hello All,

Wondering if you could help me out here please.

I have an 05 4.7 V8 WK GC, and I started stalling due to a very dirty IAC. Swapped that, then I changed the crank positioning sensor since I got a CEL back in the day, then swapped the TPS since I was noticing my WOT was horrible and idle was weird sometimes.

Though it could of been a bad TPS, and got anotherone. With the superchips tool, I read my WOT is only 66% and only get the overdrive past 30MPH and tops downshifts to 3rd gear, no 2nd to have more torque.

I went on a 2 week trip leaving the car at home, and when I ran it once I was back, noticed a CEL that said the TPS had a high circuit, however it was working perfect WOT at 97% or so, and downshifting perfect, however the CEL was there. Bought a 3rd TPS, and now I dont get the code, but now back to the 66% WOT.

Anyone have a clue on what can be going on? Can a bad MAP be setting the WOT to limp mode? No idea...

Did you buy OEM TPS? Parallel TPS are known to give problems. Did you try moving the wire bundle while looking at the TPS %? Could be an internal wire break which shows up once in a while.

Well, whats weird is that even the stock one does that, same as the other 2 non OEM. The one that gives the high voltage DTC is the 2nd one I put in there while thinking my stalling issue was the TPS, and its non OEM, however the original OEM it had, plus the non OEM ones have the same result.

Right now I have an Steering position sensor issue, due that they replaced the rack and pinion, trying to solve a random vibration at the front end, however there is no CEL, all I get is the traction control light due that maybe at the time of removing the parts, the mechanic removed the shafts so it detects something random or also when mountning the new rack, the pillar spinned a couple times and the spring of the sensor has not been reset, so it detects the car is unalligned. Not sure, I have tried what people talk about configuring it by turning the wheel without moving, then stopping the engine, etc.. but hasnt worked.
