Trans Pan Unavialble

I detected a trans leak on my Jeep 2005 Grand Cherokee . My mechanic replaced the gasket and filter, which did not stop the leak. ( I had the mechanic put it up on the lift it was leaking from one spot) So the next step he said was to change the pan !!!. When we called Chrysler they had only 3 pieces in the enitre country WOW. I would have to live with the problem for approximately 2 months!!
Any idea why a pan which looks good should leak ?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!!

Thanks
Romy

Re: Trans Pan Unavialble

Is it rusted out or is the edge bent? Or maybe there is a gouge on the edge thats causing the leak. Otherwise I can't see how the pan would be the problem.

Sure it's not leaking from the plug connector on the side of the trans? That plug leak makes it look like a pan leak.
Never heard of a bad trans pan....

Jeep had a service bulletin about the connector seals leaking. I would replace those first
