Transmission overtemp fixed!
Recently I replaced my PCM(100 miles ago)with one from a Junkyard and bang no more intermittent trans overtemp light .
My faulty PCM symptoms:
It started out like this:
My drivers sided window would roll up and down by itself
Trans over temp light would happen once every couple of months.
and my Radiator Fan would come on full blast at times.
Then it progressed to this:
My drivers side window wouldn't work
Trans overtemp light would come on once every other week, along with the radiator fan at full blast.
and an Anti theft Red dot flashing on gauge cluster.
and finally to this:
Trans overtime light on everyday
The Jeep would intermittently start when I turned the key
and I forget the code but diagnostics were letting me know that their was a fault in the TCM and PCM having to with the processor.
For the longest I thought it was a harness issue, guess not.
Remedy: I replaced the PCM and everything was back to normal.
