Trouble with Driver Power Seat - Please help

Hello everyone, having an issue with my driver side power seat...

My wife adjusted the seat last night and it worked perfectly. When I tried to adjust back nothing worked this am. If you mess around with the controls I can get the back to raise and lower and the bottom to raise and lower. I haven't been able to get the seat to slide backward. It did move forward slightly when I was playing with the switch. Also I noticed that when I hold the switch backward to move the seat back the interior lights dim slightly.

Need help diagnosing as its almost impossible to drive the car now since the seat is all the way up.

Any advise would be great.

Thanks.

Mike

Re: Trouble with Driver Power Seat - Please help

I would have a look under the seat to see if nothing is blocking the aft movement. That the interior light dims, shows that the power motor is trying to rotate, but something is holding it. Sometimes the spindle is too dry and causes too much friction.
