Hello all, I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a Rec Nav Radio and a Boston Acoustics Sound System. I don't care much for the GPS and want to downgrade to a 2006 REF radio so I can have the auxiliary input and hopefully make some money by selling the REC unit. I know I will have to purchase a new bezel, but are there any other issues I would run into since I am downgrading and not upgrading? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!
A couple of members here have recently lost their RECs, so you may have some takers if you post it up in the for sale section.
I would be quick about it though, every day the aftermarket replacements are becoming cheaper and better and are already a better deal than many used RECs making it a tougher sell!
I do not believe it will be an issue. If the raf is not able to power up the ba amp, you would need a wiring harness that can (like the PAC model) but I'm pretty sure it will plug right in and work.
