20" wow I thought it would have been able to go much deeper. My salesman said you could cover the tires and still be ok. I just would have thought it would have been closer to 30"

I swear some of the bullshit that salespeople say drive me nuts. That is why people should always walk in the dealership already knowing what they want and how they want it.

Triple door seals, waterproof drivetrain and the intake is at the top of the grill on the Hemi. Don't know about the intake on V6.

Re: Water Fording

Yes 20 is above the door opening but that is why there are 3 seals in the lower part of the door. If you are in 20 inches of water I would not open the door!

Re: Water Fording

May I ask how it is possible to SUCK UP water in the EXHAUST?

20" of water.
Intake is way higher.
That's all that really matters.
Door seals can take it.
Just don't open the door.
It probably can take 30", all Jeeps are rated for 19-20", I personally risked it and went through 27" one day in my KJ. Made it out just fine. No water leaks either, no sucking up water in the exhaust (?????), and it didn't have "triple sealed doors" of which, its entire purpose is to seal the Jeep from wind noise, not water fording.

If you go in reverse the engine runs backwards.

Re: Water Fording

Can we just call it "water jeeping" and drop the reference to Ford??? I've always wondered why they continue to use the term in the Jeep brochures, rather than just saying water crossing, or something similar.
