I did my 3.7 super easy. Remove the belt. Then take off all the bolts on the front. Water pump pops right off. I would replace the thermostat as well IMO. Then fill it back up with coolant and use the bleed screw on the top rad hose to bleed all the air out with engines running.

Do you know what the torque spec is for the water pump bolts and the bolts on the thermostat housing?

17 Ft.lbs for the water pump bolts, 16 for the thermostat housing (at least that's what they were for the 2005 3.7L)

small thread hijack guys,

is the front end parts of the 4.7 & 3.7 engines the same? exg:- water pump, timing cover, ect?

need to souce a timing cover for a 4.7 & ebays shows loads for the 3.7.
