Does anyone know the part number of the 'bumper bracket' that's need for an 08+ front end conversion? Is it this air dam:

or is there another piece I'm missing. People refer to the needed piece as a bumper bracket but the link above clearly says air dam?? Also, any P/N for clips/rivets I need will also be helpful!

Hello there. I am also working on the same conversion, hahaha. This must be the new thing now. I need those exact parts. Please let me know of any other screw, clip, or what ever you needed other than any original hardware. Thanks in advance. This is the first time for me as well. I have a 2007 JGC Loredo. The next leap of faith is painting...oh gosh.

Yeah. It's an awesome mod. I think the lines of the 08+ flow much better with the Jeep. Anyway, I haven't done it yet. I'm actually still waiting on a response from my last post. I just want to make sure I have anything and that there are no surprises. I'm also a cheap bastard so I'd like to find out if anything at all is reusable from my old jeep! lol

There may be parts that may be reusable, but it may slow down the removal process. Meaning, being careful of removing the parts that can be reused without damage. I must admit, I am somewhat nervous. What I have purchased so far:

Bumper Cover - approx. $56
Grill - approx. $35
HID Headlights - approx. $91 each
Air dam - approx. $88

Still need:
front bumper bracket
air dam support
chrome insert
hardware

THAT is not the same as the 08+ bumper bracket. Look at it...it has holes for the plastic push pins like the 05-07 bumpers use. The 08+ bumpers dont use the push pins and just "snap" into the 08+ bracket

I have some news. I went to the Dealer and looked at Both parts:

(2005-2007) - 55156878AE
(2008-2010) - 55157476AD

And, there are some significant changes. I just went ahead and bought the part from the dealer an hour ago. Did not want to wait for delivery from online places. Plus I am so ready to get this thing done. But, again....they are not the same. You are very correct. Get part 55157476AD.

Ha ha....well. cheap. OEM is cheap also. Everything is cheap. You know that right. Of course you do. As far as fitting....well, I will let you see my pics when I get it installed this weekend. And as far as 300 dollars for OEM. Well, actual cost for the cover in my area is more like $450.00.....and that just don't make sense in today's economy. The $56 dollar cover is pretty good looking. Very clean and I was very impressed at the quality from Certifit. No flaw that I could tell. But again, I will find out this weekend. Thanks for looking out. I appreciate your honesty. I never did this upgrade, so I cannot argue. Time will tell.

I am not sure about fiber glass bumpers. My $56 bumper cover is plastic. The OEM is also plastic. The quality seem the same on after market and OEM. I was not aware that there were fiberglass bumper covers...what vehicle are you refering too. I have a Loredo 2007 jeep grand cherokee....doing a front end conversion to a +08 model.
