08 to 07 and earlier bumper conversion

Hey guys. I've searched every way I can think of to find threads on this conversion but have had no luck. I have an 08 Overland CRD and would like to convert to pre 08 bumper for the clearance. I've seen a couple of folks going the other way, like crashtown. Have you seen someone that's done this? I'm sure its possible but was wondering what the price tag would be. Thanks.

Okay. I'm an idiot. After staring at this thing for a couple of days. It looked like the fog lamps were coming off with the air dam clip and it looked like I wouldn't buy much approach angle clearance by taking it off. Well. Guess what? It was time to quit thinking and check it out. I was totally wrong. The fogs stayed and the approach angle kicks butt now. Sorry for wasting anyone's time.

Re: 08 to 07 and earlier bumper conversion

i kinda like the '05-'07 front bumpers more than mine. Its more agressive looking and yields alot more clearance up front.

Re: 08 to 07 and earlier bumper conversion

It's possible to do. You will need Bumper cover, bumper support, grille and headlights all from 05-07.

Re: 08 to 07 and earlier bumper conversion

I've swapped out my 05-07 front end with a guy with an 08. It's pretty much the same thing as doing an 08 conversion, on a 05-07. You'll just need the stuff that Chaoul1 mentioned. Not sure on pricing though. I guess you could look on Justforjeeps, or Ebay and get an idea of how much it would cost.
