2007 front fascia on 2009 overland

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2009 overland and noticed I like the looks of the 2006-07 bumper/front fascia better with a 4xguard skid plate. Will This older bumper attach using the factory mounting brackets on the 2009 model? I've noticed the headlights are slightly different but I think you might be able to take care of this gap by installing some Stillen headlight accents?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: 2007 front fascia on 2009 overland

A lot of ppl including myself have done the 08+ conversion as we call it mines was 2005 front end to a 2008-2010 so you want to do the opposite and the anser is YES YOU Can all you need is a

2005-2007
Front Bumper(foglights fit same)
Grill these are diffent the 05-07 are about 1" shorter
Bumper absober this are also slight diffrent
And you have options on the lights you can do as you say buy Black Ops Stillen Covers cover the gap or just buy the 05-07 lights and have everything nice and Flush.

I wanted to point out that I feel the 05-07 is more 4x4 off road looking bumper and the 08+ is more sporty wich was why I did it...I have a question can you sell me Your chrome bumper insert from your overland wen you decide to tackle this job Thanx let me know

Re: 2007 front fascia on 2009 overland

Thanks for the help. Do you happen to know the part number for the bumper absorber or where I could find this?
I'll let you know when I complete the project (probably in the next couple weeks). I'd be more then happy to sell you my chrome insert.

Re: 2007 front fascia on 2009 overland

its not an absorber really...its a bracket that the bumper clips into and it also holds the temp sensor. Post a want to buy here for these parts...someone will probably have them laying around.

If you are looking to retain the overland mesh look, I have an 05-07 Overland grille and an SRT one that I can sell you. Or we could possibly work out some kind of deal as I may be interested in your 08+ parts. Let me know if you're intersted.

I think he or she is going for the offroad look.

OP, you should post a trade in the Wanted forum. You will trade very fast. Most people like the 08+ front end.

Agreed. I'd be willing to in a second only problem is Seattle and Baltimore are far from neighbors and I can't be driving around my Jeep without a front end for a week.
