2008 front lower valance.

So, my 2008 laredo came missing the front lower valance Do you think a junkyard would sell me this or would they make me buy the whole bumper cover? Mine is the raw textured black. I can find them new too. Do you think aftermarket will be flimsier than the oem one? Aftermarket is much cheaper.

So, after looking into this further, it appears that the lower valance is actually 2 pieces, the plastic valance and a metal frame. This makes it even more expensive to buy new. I will probably be going the used route then.

Interesting. When I took mine off it was only one piece, plus the clips that held it on to the bumper cover. I would check your Jeep to see if the metal piece is still on your vehicle or not before buying it (if you choose to buy new). In my opinion, used would be the best way to go since it will most likely get scraped on curbs.

Youre right, there is no metal part. A listing for the bracket part erroneously listed it as metal when it is in fact plastic. When you remove it from the car it seems like one part, but it is 2 parts clipped together and that is how it is sold new, 2 separate parts. Used is definitely the way I will go. Havent had a chance to check out the local junkyards yet.

Along the used parts line. car-parts.com will allow search parts even using VIN # to narrow results. huge data base.

Whenever I look up that part there I always get 1 response from some place in PA selling new aftermarket parts and its the 2 separate parts not the whole assembly. I find it hard to believe that there arent tons of those things sitting around in junkyards. Even ebay only has the parts as separate. Its strange for a part that comes off so easily with 7 little clips that I cant find it online anywhere as that whole assembly. Only as 2 separate parts. Even used.
