35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

Going to buy some new headlights, open them up and install flashtech halos and morimoto projectors. Any opinions on 35w vs 55w for low beams?

I heard 55w is bright alot of guys I see on here have 35w.

Are you doing low beams and fogs to match, and where do you think your gunna purchase them from?

I'm hoping to be making this purchase soon.

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

going to go with theretrofitsource.com and get the mini morimoto H1 kit for the lowbeams and probably keep the stock high beam halogen (and perhaps later on stick some HID 9005 morimotos in there since for the high beam, I'm not concerned about the projector cutoff.

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

35W should be enough. Don't the 55W color fade away?

You can put HIR's in your High Beams. Not HID's, but HIR's.

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

y not 55w? I have 55w in my halogen and it's hella bright. Even aiming them down, i get flashed from time to time. With the projectors, you will get more light focused and less glare! WIN!

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

Because its unnecessary. Besides, who say that you can't get flashed with a retrofit..... I get flashed in my moms factory HID setup. Can't even think what would happen with 55k projectors.

I remember seeing that you had them. That was what original got me more curious about them

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

Make sure you insulate the shrouds. The 55w ballast burns the bulbs hotter and will melt the shrouds.

I chose 35w to be safe and they are bright enough.

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

If I get 35w Hids and put them in my stock setup (not projectors from my understanding) will I get flashed like crazy?

Re: 35w or 55w Mini-Morimoto HIDs?

i get flashed constantly with my 55w kit and they are in my fogs.... i think it would be way too bright in the low beams
