Has anyone heard of any issues with putting 8000k hid kits into the 06 wk? I thought I heard something about burning up the factory harness? Figured I'd ask around before I spent a couple dollars to f the oe harness up.

lol it will work but you will look like a tool using it. As long as you use 35w no matter what "K Temperature" you get they will generate less heat than the stock bulbs. Be responsible and stick between 4300k-6000k. I would say 6K is the best choice for you if you still want good output with the color that says "I have HID's"

talk to our vendor Xenondepot...they make one of the best HID kits there are available. They will also include relay harnesses so you dont have to worry about your oem harness. They will connect straight to the battery.

dude i have 8500k's, they look sick, have had them for over a year and had zero problems, you'll be good as long as you get a quality set, no cheap e-bay crap, got mine at xenondepot, they were like $400

well my brother bought the same kit for his wk but he got the 6k instead of the 8k, side by side they're just as bright, mine just have a little more blue to them. realisticly a good kit is a good kit regardless of what k it is

so the blue-ish tint to my headlights is somehow unsafe for other drivers? as i said before my brother and i have the same kits except his is 6k mine 8k, side by side mine are no brighter just a little bluer. as for my safety its great, just as great as it would have been had a bought 4k. so while i appreciate your concern for everyones saftey, you are coming off as a p***k. i get the most out of my kit "its all good"

1) Yes it's unsafe and not just for other drivers. The human eye cannot perceive blue that well and it's a proven fact that blue light causes eye fatigue.

2) While yes the Lumen difference between 6K and 8K is marginal it's still a couple extra hundred Lumen.

3) A 4K would've allowed you to see more so the 8K is not as great as the 4K.

4) While I may be a p***k but just because it's "all good" doesn't mean it's "all good" for your eyes or other drivers eyes.
