Re: 9145 to 9005 fog light bulb swap.

The HIR's are at the top of my list. But again, it is a 65Watt flamethrower that others have said the stock houseing/lens will not hold up to. The HID set-up would be the way to go, as I can get a 4300K color that I like best, but I just would need to somehow be able to put a cut-off on the stock foglight lens assembly. I thought about just getting the top 1/3rd of the outside lens itself "tinted" real dark to cut down the glare as so it would not bother folks. All this feedback has been wonderful, thank you

Just retrofit a set of HID projectors. It would be a piece of cake for the fog lights

Re: 9145 to 9005 fog light bulb swap.

I thought about this actually. I would want to use Hella Micro DE fogs with an H3 HID conversion. I have seen those and they are impressive fog lights with HID. I just don't know how I would get them in the stock lamp houseing and make it look right. I have been looking at TRS website about retro fitting. Good stuff. I'd like to cut and seal from the back of the houseing, instead of baking it to take off the front lense. I just wish somebody would make a damn +50 9145 bulb and I would have all I want at that point.

I have 3-4 different fog light threads.

I did one retrofit with some small eBay projectors.

I cut the lens off them.

Try search
