Aftermarket HID Projector Quality?

For those who have the 08+ OEM spec aftermarket HID projector headlamps (Eagle Eyes brand) how it the quality of the beam? How does it compare to the OEM projector? Good quality or a bit lacking?

Thanks for any input and/or pics you can provide!

Re: Aftermarket HID Projector Quality?

I don't have Eagle Eyes brand, but my HIDs are a lot crisper, cleaner, focused, and brighter compared to regular headlamps in a projector

Re: Aftermarket HID Projector Quality?

I found this. They look decent, but not quite as good.

Curious, what is the purpose of the notch in the cut off?

Re: Aftermarket HID Projector Quality?

The cutoff will always be lower on the left hand drivers side. This is done in order to prevent oncoming traffic from being blinded on 2 way streets/highways if you're in the far left lane.

Re: Aftermarket HID Projector Quality?

Yup i had one on mine. It was an eagle eye head light that I purchased from AM Auto parts.com. I wounded up going back to the factory oem hid headlight. The beam was not as good. It had a prism effect. Also when I was driving behind one of my friends they said it looked like totally 2 different headlights (1 eagle eye on driverside and 1 oem hid on passenger side). They said it looked like 2 motorcycles riding behind them. Here is a link to the thread with the comparison.
