as stated above, the airdam is installed to improve the aerodynamics
Take your airdam off and you will see the mpg drop.

No loss in MPG's for me either removing the air dam on my 07'...

Ive read alot of posts about how the airdam affects mpg negatively. Im not sure if lowered, stock, lifted makes a big difference.

Personally, I like to test things myself. More people only know info they have read and repeat it as their own.
I can honestly tell you that on my bone stock 07' 3.7 WK the air dam does nothing for mpg's....nothing for cooling...etc etc. Personally, it appears to me to do nothing but to cover up the lower radiator support and is a cosmetic attempt for a more "finished" look.
Your results may differ....
