Totally worth it. But like everyone else said, don't ever give your money to someone else for a job like that. You can definitely do it...

Re: Are HID's worth it?

Once you go HID you won't go back. You will not believe the difference they make in all driving conditions.

Do them yourself man, Easy Peasy! I'm sure there are guides on here somewhere.

Re: Are HID's worth it?

I am also thinking about doing HIDs. I have a couple questions. Do I have to get my daytime running lights turned off at the dealer before I install a kit? I have read in different places that the DRLs dont provide enough power and the HID bulbs will flicker.
Also, I have been looking into getting the Eagle Eye brand housings (08-10 stock HID replicas) and putting the D1S bulbs in and getting ballasts and a wiring harness. How does the ignitor work on the bulbs? Do the ballast have an ignitor also? I know the bulbs do. Just looking for any help I can get. Like the OP, I am not too good with car wiring but am trying to learn because I would love to do it myself!
Ive read every walk through on this site and just want to make sure I order the right stuff and have the right connectors and everything.
