Best way to peel plastidip

so I think I want to get rid of my black plastidipped wheels and do them in a medium grey... I am assuming it wouldnt look good to plasti dip grey over black...problem is.. I have never tried to peel this stuff off before and Ive heard its easier to peel off with heavier coats.. but i only applied 2 coats to my wheels. Being a guy without the use of longer fingernails, what is the best possible way to peel this stuff off effectively so Im not sitting on the ground picking little pieces away all day?

also with the grey.. smoke or gunmetal? I want a medium grey like the competiton grey reps.. not a dark grey like gunmetal tends to be.

Re: Best way to peel plastidip

ive only painted my chrome ring around the antenna... and i messed up the first time and just pulled up a corner and the whole thing came off in one piece.

wheels may be a bit different but id try just picking at it and peel it off.

Re: Best way to peel plastidip

keep rubbing one spot with your fingers back and forth, eventually you will get to the paint of your wheels then just peel it off.

Re: Best way to peel plastidip

When I had to redo one of my rims I started to just peel it but some parts were hard and wasn't coming off so easily so I hit it with the power washer on the parts I could peel and it flew off

Re: Best way to peel plastidip

I was thinking of redoing my plasti dip wheels. Attempted to remove.. was so difficult in certain areas.. just dipped back on top. now it is not as smooth. Interested on a way to remove as well...

grease remover sounds like a good idea. anyone else with advice?
