Hey I could use some advise from anyone willing. I really want to beast up the front of my 08 wk. I really want regardless of final choice to be able to mount some D-rings for recovery purposes. If I get a bull bar or brush guard does anyone know if it would be strong enough if needed to be able to hook a tow strap too and yank someone out of a jam? Or should I just get a whole new bumper that already has the D-rings mounted to it? And does anyone have any suggestions on where to go to get a good deal on one?

Bull bars/ brush guards mount to the factory tow hook locations deleting the tow hooks if you have them or preventing them from being installed. Those d ring mounts won't work either. Brush guards and bull bars ooffer protection from only that brush and light bumps. They bend easily and actually do more damage to your vehicle in an accident and can end up costing you more in repairs or do more severe damage then with out.

What you need is the 4xguard matrix setup. Its built to take abuse. It has d ring moounts incorporated in to it and has plenty of other features you will like.

Thanks for the compliment, my brush guard is made by Hunter. I really have it to prevent parking lot dings. After having 3 bumpers (on my previous car) replaced from people driving like crap in local parking lots, I went to this. As far as taking more damage, that could happen, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. The likelyhood of a small lot fender bender is much greater for me. Plus that's what insurance is for.

Also the matrix bar is awesome and would be my top choice, but it's money.
