Im looking to paint my calipers once the snow/road salt breaks. Looking for some color ideas that will look good with the black plasti-dip wheels and the metallic blue/grey body. Check pics in my garage and any suggestions will help. Im considering red, silver and possibly hemi orange but other ideas are welcomed.
+1 for the red. I've often considered wasting a day or two to do a full caliper color redux, but I've never found the motivation to do it. Too little reward!
I think so! Usually you can find the hi temp vinyl lettering on eBay for cheap.. Now I just need to find to time to have the car sit for a day while it dries since I'll use G2 kit. It will be a spring project for sure
They are about 40 bucks I think? It's nice cause it's an epoxy and I have seen great reviews.. Only down fall is 24 hr cure time so you just gotta plan it out!
Thanks. While the Red will pop which is what im looking to have against the black wheels. The orange will also be something unique......atleast in my area
Anybody ever used the brake covers I see advertised in car mags? Seems like I've read that when you paint the calipers you gotta touch em up every year.
I've looked into this option a lot.. MGP is the best brand but they are not cheap.. Maybe like 150 for a plain set and 200+ for added logos. some people like them, some people absolutely hate them.. I figured if I painted them on my own since it would be a good project and I don't want to get the covers if they might make it look like I am trying to imitate brembos
