Cigarette burn hole repair.....

I'm thinking about buying another WK. The one I'm interested in is in great condition and all the service records are available. I have thoroughly examined it and my mechanic did as well. Right now we're both giving it the thumbs up, but there is one problem........

It has a cigarette burn hole on the passenger seat, which is cloth/fabric

How is this repaired? Is there a kit that can be purchased? If I buy this 05 WK, Im not going to tolerate the burn hole.

Not the route I'm looking to take, over a hole about 5mm in diameter. I thank you for at least taking the time to reply, though.

You can take a razor blade out of a utility knife and scrape the fabric from the headrest or back of the seat. Make sure you collect the shavings with a small dust pan, plate, etc. Place a small amount super glue, goop, gorilla glue where the burn is then place the fabric shavings into it

Re: Cigarette burn hole repair.....

it would be a while for delivery as it would be a vendor ship item where the order is placed and it is on the vender to get it out, if they dont have on they have to make it then ship it... and it would probably cost a bit more than you want (maybe factor it into buying price), but the dealer should be able to get you new uhpolstry for the seat base. IIRC in the WK the seat doesnt even need to come out you can disconnect the seat base pad from the seat and easily replace the uhpolstry in the comefort of your house.
