Cluster Assembly 2005 Laredo

So, in my 2005 Grand Cherokee Laredo, the rectangular screen (on the left) in the instrument panel is out. The one that shows what hear I'm in and mileage and all that. I was told by the dealership and the needed a whole new intrusment panel, which is what I was expecting. Does anyone know if there would be a problem with me ordering the cluster assembly made for the limited in my laredo? There is a couple reason why I want to do that, but mainly I just like the look of the chrome rings. Now obviously features that are in the EVIC on the limited wont work in my laredo, but will if cause any problem to be using the limited cluster assembly?
Thanks for the Input

Re: Cluster Assembly 2005 Laredo

you can replace them easily but the vehicle mileage is stored in the cluster. everything will work from another cluster except the srt cluster

So, your saying that I can use any cluster except one form an srt8? How do I get the mileage info onto the new cluster?

I had one in my hand and to seemed to say 4.7 & 5.7. On the label on the back.

Its not magic like if you have base TPMS you won't get through limited version. You might get the chrome rings.

But it will need matched by the Stealer no matter what.

Ok, sorry but I'm having trouble understanding what you mena. I know tht I won't gain any features that the Limited has, but everything I had with the Laredo should work just fine correct?
And then I just take it to the dealership (with both clusters) and they will know what has to be done?
About how much you think they might charge for that?
Thanks again for your help!

most likely $100 or if you are getting other work and they know you they may do it for free
