creating info center buttons

ok, has anyone tried this?

I want to create custom info center buttons, and I wanted to know if anyone had any experience.

as of right now, my best idea is to take a blank button, dremmel out my symbol carefully.

to fill in the newly dremmelled symbol, I'll probably try a mix of white paint and epoxy until I get something that matches. I'll back the button with masking tape and work a little of the epoxy into the hole and let it dry to the button insert before I remove the tape...

any ideas, or experience with doing this?

Re: creating info center buttons

I've pulled all of the center console out with the intention of adding the fog light switch to the info center panels. The way its built on my 07, there is a circuit board extending the entire width directly behind the info center...it really looked like more trouble that it was worth... HTH

Re: creating info center buttons

These are the best I have seen for this type of mod. They can be had in different colors, different lights and there is a pretty good choice symbols.

controls for various lights and such, also possibly just a few custom symbols to light up if I can get them looking good.

Re: creating info center buttons

Look around on here, someone did a really great write up on this. I've been wanting to do this for some blue LED lights I got for my interior, just haven't gotten around to it.

I'm pretty sure that the link posted above was the guy with the radar that you are referring to
