Debadge Help

I debadged the Jeep Logo on the front and the back a few months ago. The front looks fine however the back is still showing the letters of JEEP on it when you are close and its really annoying. It looks like there is still something there but it is completely flat and nothing is there however there is like a substance looking thing in some of the areas like sticky residue but when you touch it there is nothing there. Does anyone know how to get it to all look the same? And ways would be good? Please Help.
Thanks

I used a product called glue gone. You should be able to pick it up at most auto shops. Have you tried using it yet?

Re: Debadge Help

I agree with the fellas above! Goo Gone worked on both black Jeeps that we have debadged!

1st: WD-40 on a micro fibre cloth or bare fingers to remove any glue/residue.

2nd: Mcgwuiar's Scratch X 2.0 polish with terry cloth towel to get rid of the outline, any scuffing and paint fade.

That's what I used on my '10 after I removed the badging.

Re: Debadge Help

After removing my badges there was a ghost of where the badges used to be. Got bug and tar remover then buffed and waxed and completely gone.

Re: Debadge Help

I heated my badges off with a heat gun on the low setting. Once they were off I took a hair dryer and while aiming the heat at the area where the badges were, applied a very, VERY, VERY, small amount of paint thinner via a wash cloth. This took everything off immediately. Be careful tho, if you use too much paint thinner or heat that spot up too much the paint will come off.

Re: Debadge Help

Wow. Ive seen some bad debadges that way when people used too much. Glad it worked out for you though.

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
Ice them down, freeze them, and pop them off.
