I am going to do the rear light led mod like this:
http://www.bryanmaine.com/web/Jeep/jeepled/index.html
I am using 18 gauge speaker wire, it was cheap and LED's draw very low amps so it should be perfectly fine for my setup.
I will be soldering the LED's into the main wire using 60/40 Rosin core solder:
The LED's that I will be using are the 12 Ozium LED's in white found here:
http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux
I used these wire strippers:
They came in handy because I started at one end and they pull the wire apart and strip it at the same time, so I just went right down the line for all 6 LED connections.
Here is what I have so far:
I was using clamps just to pull the wires tight, one of my biggest pet peeves is loose wires. Weird, I know. Also, sorry for the shitty pictures was using my phone.
I am waiting on the LED's to arrive to dremmel the holes out for them and have them fit flush, I will keep this updated as the parts come and I have time to do everything.
Hope you guys enjoy!
