fog lights; How To:

Unfortunately my WK did not come with stock fog lights...and now i am trying to figure out my options! I would prefer to put OEM housings in, and put HID bulbs in them...even found a set at a local junkyard for 40$. However, I am confused on how i would install them. Because my WK did not come with them stock, how would i go about wiring them and running them to a switch? What all would i need to buy in order to put them in? Has anyone done a write-up on this? Also, i am open to other suggestions such as aftermarked fog lights if anyone has had a good experience with them. Thanks in advance!

This was one of the first things I wanted to do, and I've made quite a few improvements. However I haven't done this yet let us know if it was as easy as it sounds

Re: fog lights; How To:

you will need the stalk that has the fog light switch, and 2 fog lamps, the light relay and fuse. Your jeep already have the plug for the lamps, just go behind the airdam and you should see the plug conencted to some sort of holder.

After that you will need to go to a dealer and have them activate it with starscan.

That writeup is spot on! follow it and you shouldnt have any probs!

Re: fog lights; How To:

I bought mine through a local Jeep dealership(Kit includes the lights, the new mutifuntion switch, and the fuse/relay for under the hood). 300$+75$ to activate them. Pricey, but worth it!!

Re: fog lights; How To:

woah. you aint kidding, pricey. I think I paid $140 for the parts from justforjeeps. (its cheaper to buy the parts seperate than in the kit).. install only took half an hour.
then $80 for activation at dealer.
