I just did the DIY Ambient LED set up this past weekend.. Takes a bit of time to do the wires but looks great.. Cost 20 bucks

Take a look at this thread it will have everything you need! I believe my resistors were 560 ohm for two LEDs.. The Cyan green is not exact but it's pretty dang close.. Then just tap off the cup holder or shifter lighting.. Let me know if you have questions or feel free to PM me!

Here it is. Custom interior ambient footwell LED lighting. Pics inside!

Thinking about it. I have white LEDs now, getting a little bored of them. Think the red would look kinda cool just in the footwells.
