Footwell LEDs

I replaced my stock footwell bulbs with some LEDs. I'm wondering how I could get these to stay on while driving or maybe even wiring up a switch to control them. Any ideas?

You didn't say what you are driving, but theres a posting in here somewhere from a guy who has a WK2, and he tapped into the power going to the led that lights up the console lighting around the cup holders. He ran wires out to leds under the dash in each footwell and under the seats for rear footwell lighting.
I guess the moral of the story is to find something that stays lit when you turn the lights on, and tap into it....maybe dashboard lighting?

Yeah...since they'd only be like maybe four leds, it wouldn't matter if they ran in the daytime too. And you could switch them if you wanted to. Still, it would be nice for them to come on with the dashboard lighting. Can you get to the wires behind the dashboard light dimmer?

Alright, thanks for your help everyone. I successfully wired some LEDs in both the driver and passenger footwells!

I ended up wiring into the "information center" so the lights come on automatically with headlights/interior lights. It was actually pretty simple. Took me about 2 hours with absolutely zero intelligence and decent tools.

Still a work in progress but here are some pics.

Looks good. im slowly (was till I came to korea) adding blue lights in the interior. So far all I have are lighted cup holders. You can see them in my build thread.
