Re: Front Bumper and Side Skirts Are Installed!

Looks good. I am curious, since you are now running OEM srt springs up front and SRT Eibachs in the rear, how does it handle? Good, bad or not noticeably different?

I think you are about ready to start submitting pics for JOTM.

Re: Front Bumper and Side Skirts Are Installed!

Thanks Bob. I don't even notice the difference between the OEM SRT springs and the Eibachs in the way it handles. I still have the stock sway bar in the front and I've never felt the need to change it to matcb the SRT sway bar in the rear. It does sit a tad more level and I love the look. I also have no issues with the camber on my front end alignment. I am also glad to have a little more height clearance for the front bumper. Highly recommend this setup.

As for JOTM, there are too many amazing Jeeps on this site for me to enter right now. Plus i have a few more mods up my sleeve I'm working on. One day for sure. I appreciate the vote of confidence.

What kind of mods are going on in your world?

Re: Front Bumper and Side Skirts Are Installed!

Currently no mods. Saving money in case I get accepted to school. Fingers crossed. However I have been "windows" shopping for Viper Replica wheels, front srt sway bar and new sway links on the rear. Mostly I look at what other guys are doing and thing, "I wish I could do that'"

Re: Front Bumper and Side Skirts Are Installed!

Well, after two months of waiting and having to file a claim Greyhound Express finally found my rear SRT bumper. (What a joke it has been working with them) I dropped it off at the body shop on Thursday for paint and should have it back next Wednesday. I'll also be installing the Curt trailer hitch, model 11103 so I can still use my bike rack. Very cool hitch. Should look like this except I'll be using 4" exhaust tips. So happy that I can finally continue with the exhaust manifold-mid pipe-catback conversion. Pics to follow after install.

Re: Front Bumper and Side Skirts Are Installed!

Well, I spent the evening in the garage last night putting together the rear bumper and tow hitch. Let me just say that there is nothing like the feeling of standing back, after being on your knees for a few hours crawling around, and admiring how much better the rear end looks. IMO it's the only bumper they should have ever made for the WK.

I"m loving how inconspicuous the Curt tow hitch is. You have to bend over to even see it tucked back in there. Once the exhaust tips come through it will be almost invisible. Here are a few photos of the progress so far. The rear step pad is still at the paint shop getting color matched along with the SRT roof rails.

I've got to go out now and cut off the rear resonator and install a temporary turn-down tip so I'm not blasting the back of the bumper until I can get the SRT exhaust installed.

Bye Bye, Spare Tire

Re: Front Bumper and Side Skirts Are Installed!

Thanks guys. I just got the rear step cover and roof rails back from paint. Here's the rear step. I'll be putting on the roof rails tonight and I'll post a photo.

Nate at Rebadge (vendor) is working on my custom chrome emblem so I'm excited to see how it turns out. For now I'm using the final draft of it as my signature below. When I do the painted side moldings I'll have him make a couple of smaller ones that I can flush mount into the moldings.
