I replaced the inner fender well on my 08 the other day and I could have just pulled it down and out.. I believe if you pop open the little trap door in the fender well you can pull it out, if you want. Why do you want to remove it?

Oh, I see. Maybe you can open the trap door and throw some moth balls in there. I think you can access that area from the door jam past the foam seal too. Throw some moth balls in there too. I dont think the mice can stand it. It is also quite simple to remove the inner fender well. There are 2 plastic push pins in the frame and 5 plastic rivets holding it onto the fender and front cover. Once its out you can clear out the insulation and whatever else might be in there.

Removing the insulation? Its not really that much and just loosely sits in there. Its missing on my drivers side because of some cheap collision work done in the past and I dont notice any road noise problem. When I say remove the fender well, Idont mean to leave it off. I meant just to get easy access to the insulation. It would need to be reinstalled after removal. The 2 push pins can be re-used and the plastic rivets can be bought online for cheap or you can use the plastic fasteners sold at your local advance auto or wherever as a substitute.

Use ZipLock bags filled with any kind of insulation to replace what you pull out if the original is chewed up. If there are any drain holes, don't block them.
