Headlight alignment?

I just installed new headlights and need a general rule of thumb on how to get the correct beam height. I have a 2" lift/level. Hopefully there is a rule like x amount of feet from a wall and x height up it.

Re: Headlight alignment?

are you talking about the lights you have behind the grille?

Edit: if so then adjust the light beam to four inches below the lamp center at 25 feet.

Re: Headlight alignment?

I've read that before but I'm not understanding what 4" above center is. The height of the headlights on the car itself?

Re: Headlight alignment?

Measure from the ground to the center of the lights (hypothetically, lets say it 36 inches from ground to center of the lamp). Pull your jeep 25 feet from a wall or garage door. The top of the beam should be 32 inches off the ground.

Make sense?

Re: Headlight alignment?

I changed mine one at a time. finish first one, align it with the other (still in stock location). then install 2nd and align it with the first.

i did mine on the garage door as well. so you will need to do it in the early evening
