Yes you can aim them. Any ds1 bulb will work, but low quality bulbs do mean low quality light. I had aftermarket bulbs for a year and then put the stock bulbs back in and they were literly twice as bright. I would stick with phillips bulbs, dont forget your 6k bulbs will look much different in a projector housing. I am currently using 4300k and they look great

Exactly but you could always go with a D1S from XenonDepot or TRS's Morimoto D1S to cut down on costs.
