HID Issue - Need some input

Hey guys. I'm new to this section of the forum. I'm coming from an 2001 WJ to a brand new (new to me anyway) 2008 WK and I am currently having an issue with my HID installation. This is not a process that I'm necessarily new to. I have HID lights with an aftermarket LED Halo housing on my WJ which works without an issue but I cant say the same for my WK.

First off I am only upgrading the bulbs this time around not an aftermarket housing. I purchased Xentec 9006 HID 5000K bulbs off of ebay. I plugged them up which was pretty straight forward but I immediately ran into a flickering issue when I would turn the lights off and the occasional light not turning on. I did some research and found that this issue can be common with Chrysler, their sub brands and European brands. To fix this I went with a hid warning canceller which I must've plugged in or powered up incorrectly because it blew out on of my ballasts. So I sent those back and purchased a pair of replacement ballasts with a built in 2300V converters which do the same thing as the warning canceller but its an all in one unit. Plus they are the same as the ballasts fitted in my WJ.
Once I installed the new ballasts the lights have no issue turning on but I still have the flickering issue. What's even worse is now when I drive the dashboard will occasionally light up completely with check engine, tire pressure, traction control etc., and my car losses power for a split second and then goes back to normal. This occurs even when I have the lights turned off so I think there is still an issue with my wiring set up.
Through further research on Jeep Garage I see that a lot of you guys are using relay wiring harnesses. I did not think to get them or know that they existed because I did not need anything other than a ballast and HID light on the WJ. Do you think that by just adding this it will fix my HID issues as well as the random dashboard malfunction? Also will a relay harness work with a ballast that has a converter unit on it?

Side note has anyone installed LED running lights and taillights? I installed some with 6ohm resistors as I did on my WJ but I am still getting hyper flash on my turn signals and my back lights seem to always be on while the car is on. I'm 0 for 2 at the moment...
